The author presents a generalization of the Toeplitz operators calculus, based on the idea that ``Toeplitz operators on the Bergman space of the unit disc can be written as integrals of the symbol against an invariant operator field of rank-one projections.'' The ultimate operator field is therefore replaced by a more general invariant operator field. The author studies basic properties of resulting operators such as boundedness and Schatten class membership. The study is not restricted to the unit disc, but permits general domains. The further development of this subject is discussed. The approach is based on symbolic calculi recently introduced by Arazy and Upmeier.
