The paper under review is concerned with the analysis of the initial-boundary value problems for the nonlinear second order elliptic-parabolic equations with variable exponents of the nonlinearity in unbounded domains. The authors establish the qualitative analysis of weak solutions that belong to a related Sobolev space with variable exponent. The main contributions in this paper are related with the existence and uniqueness of the weak solutions without conditions at infinity. The proofs combine analytic and variational methods.
