Let \(X\) be a metrizable space and let \(\varphi: \mathbb{R}\times X\to X\) be a continuous flow on \(X\). For any given \(\{\varphi_t\}\)-invariant Borel probability measure, the authors present a \(\{\varphi_t\}\)-invariant Borel subset of \(X\) satisfying the requirements of the classical ergodic theorem for the continuous flow \((X,\varphi_t)\). This set it might be more useful and convenient, particularly for nonuniformly hyperbolic systems and skew-product flows.
