The paper considers the motion of a barotropic compressible fluid in a one-dimensional bounded region with impermeable boundary from the point of mathematical theory. The author shows, that for the conditions stated in the paper, for sufficiently large values of \(t\), the solutions starting at \(t=0\) have all the same asymptotic behavior. Corresponding statements are made about periodic solutions. The main results are given in two theorems and their proofs.
