Let \(\Omega \) be a bounded open set in \(\mathbb{R}^{n}\) and let \(1<p<\infty \) . Given any function \(f\) in \(C(\partial \Omega )\), the Perron method yields a unique `solution' \(Pf\) to the \(p\)-harmonic Dirichlet problem for \(f\) on \( \Omega \). The author shows that every boundary point \(x_{0}\) must satisfy at least one of the following two conditions: (a) \(Pf\) has a limit at \(x_{0}\) for all \(f\in C(\partial \Omega )\); (b) \(f(x_{0})\) is a limit point of \(Pf\) at \(x_{0}\) for all \(f\in C(\partial \Omega )\). The regular boundary points are, of course, precisely those that satisfy both conditions. Semiregular points are those that satisfy (a) but not (b). The majority of the paper is devoted to providing a variety of characterizations of semiregularity.
