The author considers a general Mann-type iteration method of the form \[ x_{n+1} = \alpha_n T_n x_n + (1 - \alpha_n)J_{r_n} Ax_n, \] where \(A\) is an accretive operator and \(T_n\) is a sequence of nonexpansive self-mappings of some uniformly smooth real Banach space \(X\). Imposing suitable conditions on \(X\) and the parameters, the author establishes strong and weak convergence results for the sequence generated by the iteration method. The results are interesting and extend some known results in the literature.
