The authors propose a framework for the parallel simulation of three-dimensional wave propagation problems in time domain. The corresponding discontinuous Galerkin time-domain methods are applicable to complex three-dimensional unstructured tetrahedral meshes. The parallelization of the proposed discontinuous Galerkin time-domain methods relies on a classical strategy that combines a partitioning of the underlying tetrahedral meshes and a message passing programming model. The numerical results include simulations for electromagnetic wave propagation problems and aeroacoustic wave propagation problems.
