The authors introduce a new class of accretive operators in Banach space and discuss its properties, particularly, the Lipschitzian continuity of the resolvent operator. An iteration method is constructed for solving a class of variational inclusions in Banach spaces. Existence of solution of the variational inclusions and convergence of the iteration method are established under proper conditions. Various examples are used to illustrate the ideas and processes.
