On the extension of CR-functions (Q2640741): Difference between revisions

The author studies the following problem: Let M be a \(C^{\infty}\)- manifold in \({\mathbb{C}}^ n\) and f a CR-function on M, is it possible to write f on M as a sum of holomorphic functions in wedges of edge M? In {\S} 1 he develops some results of \textit{A. Andreotti} and \textit{E. D. Hill} [``Levi convexity and the Hans Lewy problem'', Part I, II. Ann. Scuola Norm. Sup. Pisa, Sci. fiz. mat., III. Ser. 26, 325-363 (1972; Zbl 0256.32007); ibid., 747-806 (1972; Zbl 0283.32013)]. In {\S} 2 a general local theorem of extension for the codimension two is proved. In {\S} 3 some applications are given. For example, in the case of real \(C^{\infty}\) hypersurfaces in \({\mathbb{C}}^{\infty}\) the typical result is Theorem 3.2: Let \(M=S_ 1\cap S_ 2\), where \(S_ 1\) is strictly pseudoconvex near 0, and \(S_ 1\) and \(S_ 2\) are transversal; then if \(n\geq 3\), any CR-function on M near 0 is a sum of boundary values of holomorphic functions in wedges of edge M. In {\S} 4 and 5 the author obtains two theorems about the compact case.
