In order to investigate the stability of impulse differential equations of the type (1) \(x'=F(x,t)\), \(t\neq t_ k\), \(\Delta x(t_ k)=I_ k(x(t_ k))\) with fixed impulse moments \(t_ k(k=1,2,\dots)\), the author first proves a comparison theorem based on a Lyapunov function \(V(t,x)\) which is assumed to be only piecewise continuous with respect to \(t\) and to satisfy certain jump conditions at the time instants \(t=t_ k\). Using this comparison theorem he then obtains sufficient conditions for uniform asymptotic stability of the zero solution of (1).
