Let \(K\) be a compact convex set in the plane which contains at most \(2n\) pairs of symmetric points of \(\mathbb{Z}^{2}\setminus \{O\}\) in its interior. Denote by \(A(K)\) the area and by \(D(K)\) the diameter of \(K\). For \(n\in \{0,1,2\}\), the authors prove the following inequality and show that it is best possible: \(A(K)/D(K)\leq 2^{(n+4)/2}\sin (\theta _{1}/2)\), where \(\theta _{1}\) is the unique solution of the equation \(\sin \theta =\pi /2-\theta \). For the case \(n=0\) the maximum of the quotient \(A(K)/D(K)^{\alpha }\) for arbitrary \(\alpha \in (0,2]\) is obtained in a similar way. An analogous result is given for the hexagonal lattice instead of \(\mathbb{Z}^{2}\).
