The Lavrentiev-Bitsadze equation with nonlinear minor terms is considered in domains where it can change its type from elliptic to hyperbolic. Oblique derivative problems for this equation on the complex plane are treated by methods of analytic function theory that permits to reduce problems in question to the Riemann-Hilbert boundary value problem for the system of first-order complex elliptic equations. Existence and uniqueness results are proved.
