The author proves that the quotient of the vertex algebra \(\mathcal{W}_{1+\infty}\) modulo central charge \(-1\) is isomorphic to a tensor product of the quotient of the \(\mathcal{W}_3\) algebra modulo central charge \(-2\) and a Heisenberg vertex algebra generated by a free bosonic field. The author also constructs a family of simple highest weight modules over \(\mathcal{W}_3\) algebra and computes the formal characters of these modules.
