    The following linear neutral functional differential equation is considered \[ {d\over dt}\left\{ x(t)+ \sum_{k=1}^K A_kx(t-\tau_k) +\sum_{\ell=1}^L C_\ell x(\mu\ell(t-\sigma_\ell)) \right\} \] \[ =D_0x(t)+ \sum_{m=1}^M E_mx(t-\kappa_m)+ \sum_{j=1}^J G_jx(\lambda_j(t-\delta_j)) ,\quad t\geq0 , \] where \(A_\kappa,C_\ell,D_0,E_m,G_j\in \mathbb{R}\), \(\tau_k>0\), \(\kappa_m>0\), \(\sigma_\ell\geq0\), \(0<\mu_\ell<1\), \(0<\lambda_j<1\), \(\delta_j\geq0\) for \(k=1,2,\cdots,K_j\), \(\ell=1,2,\cdots,L_j\), \(m=1,2,\cdots,M_j\), \(j=1,2,\cdots,J\). The oscillatory properties of the solutions of this equation are investigated using Laplace transformation. The main result is: \medskip \textbf{Theorem.} Assume that \(A_k<0\), \(C_\ell<0\), \(G_j<0\) for \(k=1,2,\cdots,K\), \(\ell=1,2,\cdots,L\), \(j=1,2,\cdots,J\), and let \(\alpha:=1+\sum_{k=1}^K A_k+ \sum_{\ell=1}^L (C_\ell/\mu_\ell)>0\), \(\beta:=\alpha D_0+\sum_{m=1}^M E_m^+<0\), where \(\alpha^+=\max(a,0)\). Then every solution is oscillatory (i.e. has arbitrary large zeros).
