The authors present the field expansion (FE) and operator expansion (OE) implementations and demonstrate their rather unstable behavior due to the presence of strong cancellations in the associated recursions. Then they introduce their new recurrence based on collapsing the perturbed domains onto the unperturbed geometry. In contrast with those arising in the OE and FE schemes, these formulas can in fact be used to establish the analyticity of Dirichlet-to-Neumann operators for perturbations of an arbitrary domain. Finally a variety of numerical results for representative surface profiles are presented and demonstrate the beneficial effect of incorporating analytic continuation mechanism into perturbative approaches as a comparison of OE and FE schemes with their new transform field expansion method.
