The authors study properties of the behavior (uniqueness, local boundedness, attracting behavior etc.) of positive solutions of the Volterra equation \(u(x)=\int_0^x k(x-s) g(u(s)) ds\) and its particular case (Abel equation) when \(k(x)=x^{\alpha}\), \(-1 <\alpha < 0\).
