Für das numerische Rechnen werden folgende drei Forderungen aufgestellt: (1) Die Rechenhilfsmittel sollen der geforderten Näherung entsprechen. In zweifelhaften Fällen rechne man genauer. (2) Die Rechnungen sind in größter Übersichtlichkeit auszuführen, wenn möglich in ``Serie''. (3) Alle Rechnungen müssen kontrolliert werden. Zum Schluß wird auf die Wichtigkeit der Verwendung von Rechenschieber, Rechenmaschine und Planimeter hingewiesen.
