Für einige praktisch wichtig gewordene elektrische Oszillatoren erscheint an Stelle der üblichen älteren Schwingungsgleichung (mit\,\(f(v) = k = \text{konst.} > 0\)) die neuartige: \[ \ddot{v} + f(v)\dot{v} + a^2v= 0. \] Einige einfachere Annahmen über \(f(v)\) werden, im wesentlichen mit Hilfe von Reihenentwicklungen, durchgesprochen.
