Die zu lösende Aufgabe lautet: Eine allgemeine Formel zu finden, welche die Auffindung unendlich vieler ganzzahliger positiver Lösungen der Gleichung \(\pm x_1^n\pm x_2^n\pm \cdots \pm x_k^n=\pm x_{k+1}^{n+1}\) ermöglicht. Als besondere Fälle sind in ganzen positiven Zahlen die Gleichungen zu lösen: \(x^2+y^2+z^2=u^3\), \(x^n\pm y^n=z^{n+1}\), \(x^{2n+1}\pm y^{2n+1}=z^2n\), \(x^2+y^2=u^2-v^2=z^3\). -- Von den eingesandten Lösungen wurde die von \textit{C. Semenza} preisgekrönt.
