Die Perioden eines Doppelintegrales sind in erster Linie die von \textit{Poincaré} eingeführten Residuen; der Verf. zeigt an dem Beispiele des Integrales (vergl. unten S. 435, JFM 33.0435.03): \[ \iint \frac {y dx dy}{\root 3 \of {1 -x^3 - y^3}}\,, \] daß\ ein Integral außer den Residuen noch andere Perioden haben kann.
