    1) Ein materieller Punkt bewegt sich auf der Kugelfläche \(x2+y^2+z^2=1\) unter der Einwirkung von Kräften mit einem Potential \[ U = L + Ax^2 + By^2 + Cz^2 + (A'x^2+B'y^2+C'z^2)^2 \] oder \[ U = L + Ax^2 + By^2 + Cz^2 + A'x^{-2} + B'y^{-2} + C'z^{-2}. \] 2) Der Punkt bewegt sich auf einem Ellipsoide, und es ist \[ U = L + Ax^2 + By^2 + Cz^2 + (A'x^2+B'y^2+C'z^2)^2. \] 3) Die Bewegung ist im Raume frei, und \[ U = L + Ax^2 + By^2 + Cz^2 + D(x^2+y^2+z^2)^2. \] Der Fall 1) führt zu elliptischen, die Fälle 2) und 3) zu hyperelliptischen Functionen.
