Durchläuft \(c_m\) alle Producte aus \(m\) ungleichen Primzahlen mit Ausschluss der Primzahl 2, so ist \[ e^x = \prod_{m=0}^{\infty} \left( \frac{1+x^{c_m}}{1-x^{c_m}} \right)^{\frac{(-1)^m}{2c_m}} \qquad (c_0 =1), \] wie man erkennt, wenn man den Logarithmus des unendlichen Productes nach Potenzen von \(x\) entwickelt. Durch Wahl specieller Werte von \(x\) erhält man bemerkenswerte Darstellungen von Potenzen der Zahl \(e\) durch unendliche Factorenfolgen.
