Zur Auflösung der Aufgabe, sechs ganze positive Zahlen zu finden, deren fünfte Potenzen eine Summe ergeben, die ebenfalls eine fünfte Potenz ist, giebt der Verfasser zwei Verfahrungsarten an, die tastend fortschreiten. Er findet hierdurch: \[ \begin{aligned} & 4^5 + 5^5 + 6^5 + 7^5 + 9^5 + 11^5 = 12^5,\\ & 5^5 + 10^5 + 11^5 + 16^5 + 19^5 + 29^5 = 30^5.\end{aligned} \]
