Es wird folgender von Tchebycheff mitgeteilter Satz bewiesen: Je nachdem \(\varphi(x)\) und \(\psi(x)\) von \(x = 0\) bis \(x = 1\) gleichzeitig wachsen, gleichzeitig abnehmen oder entgegengesetzt variiren, ist \[ \int_0^1 \varphi(x)\psi(x)dx>,\;\; >\text{ oder } <\int_0^1\varphi(x)dx \int_0^1\psi(x)dx. \]
