    In der Abhandlung: Classification des intégrales quadratrices des courbes algébriques (C. R. LXXVI. p. 692, vergl. F. d. M. V. p. 223, JFM 05.0223.01) hat der Herr Verfasser die Perioden des Integrals einer algebraischen Function \(y\) in 2 Klassen getheilt: in solche, die durch die logarithmischen Glieder des Integrals geliefert werden, die sogenannten cyklischen Perioden, und in die übrigen, die sogenannten ultracyklischen Perioden. die Zahl der ersteren ist \(m-1\), wenn \(m\) der Grad der Curve \( f(x,y)=0\) ist, die der letzteren \((m-1) (m-2)\). Die \( m-1\) cyklischen Perioden sind im Allgemeinen unabhängig, die der ultracyklischen sind mit einander durch gewisse Relationen verbunden, und zwar genügen sie \[ (m-1) (m-2)-\frac {m^2+m-6}{2}=\frac {m^2 - 7m+10} {2} \] Bedingungen.
