The purpose of this article is to find quasi-periodic solutions for NLW and NLS equations on compact Lie groups and homogeneous manifolds. First a Sobolev scale of Hilbert sequence spaces satisfying several topological theorems, including a Cantor-like set, is defined. Then the eigenvalues for the Laplace operator and the Peter-Weyl theorem are used to prove an abstract implicit function theorem for Lie groups. The study of the corresponding equations on homogeneous manifolds is relegated to the study on the resulting symmetric spaces for the Lie groups above.
