    The authors report and analyse results of extensive numerical experiments for two-dimensional convective heat and mass transfer with application in coating industry. The complex two-dimensional system of PDE has been solved by means of standard finite difference approximations. It is shown that surface tension may have a significant impact on the drying rate.
