The paper deals with the solution of nonlinear equations in a Banach space setting using Newton-type methods. It provides a unified approach for convergence analysis. The convergence results presented are based upon a majorizing cubic polynomial and some universal constant that incorporates different Lipschitz conditions for the nonlinear operator.
