For the affine Lie algebra \(\hat g\) associated to the simple finite dimensional Lie algebra \(g\), the author considers the tensor product of the loop \(\hat g\)- module \(\bar {V(\mu)}\) associated to the irreducible finite dimensional \(g\)-module \(V(\mu)\) and the irreducible highest weight \(\hat g\)-module \(L_{k,\lambda}\). Then \(L_{k,\lambda}\) can be viewed as an irreducible module for the vertex operator algebra \(M_{k,0}\). The author proves that the tensor product is also irreducible under a mild condition. This result is applied to the integrable representations for affine Lie algebras.
