Separable semigroup algebras (Q1061236): Difference between revisions

Let K be a commutative ring and let S be a semigroup. Assume that the semigroup ring KS has an identity. Necessary and sufficient conditions (on S) are found for KS to be K-separable. They coincide with those involved in the description of semisimple artinian semigroup algebras [\textit{W. D. Munn}, Proc. Camb. Philos. Soc. 51, 1-15 (1955; Zbl 0064.020)].
