Invariant forms on central simple structurable algebras (English)

It is shown that every symmetric invariant bilinear form of a finite dimensional central simple structurable algebra over a field of characteristic zero is a scalar multiple of the trace form. The proof uses properties of the associated Lie algebra of a structurable algebra. In a remark the author sketches a different proof. It should be noted that this latter proof works for every central simple algebra (resp. algebra with involution).
