The paper is essentially a review/summary of the results obtained by the authors in the process of deriving the laws of thermodynamics and particularly adiabatic theorem for the isothermal processes. The isothermal processes studied are essentially the process of putting a small system(finite particles in contact with a heat bath. In this case the return to equilibrium is established by deriving the exponential law involving a finite relaxation time. A general adiabatic theorem is stated and for the details of the proof the reader is referred to a paper under preparation by the authors. The results relating to reversible isothermal processes are presented in some detail in the final section of the paper.
