The purpose of the paper, mainly, is the introduction of the concept of fixed degree for fuzzy mappings in probabilistic metric spaces. With the use of this newly introduced concept, the authors have proved some theorems about common fixed degree of a sequence of fuzzy mappings in probabilistic metric spaces; fixed-point theorems for fuzzy mappings in such spaces are also obtained. The results given in this paper generalize and unify some recent fixed-point theorems for fuzzy mappings.
