The author studies some weakly nonlinear parabolic predator-prey systems of two equations on all of \(\mathbb{R}^N\). He assumes the coefficients are \(T\)-periodic in time. In particular, he studies the existence of positive \(T\)-periodic coexisting steady states. He uses degree theoretical methods but has to use a rather different method to the usual degree theoretical calculations. Reviewer's remark: Recent work of \textit{Yihong Du} [Differ. Integral. Equ. 9, No. 5, 1043-1066 (1996; reviewed above)] and the author seems to give an alternative degree theoretic proof which is more like the degree proof in bounded domains.
