In this paper, the author studies a class of generalized (strongly nonlinear) quasivariational inequalities and, as a particular case, generalized quasicomplementarity problems. These problems include the most of variational inequalities and complementarity problems studied in the literature as special cases. Using the well-known projection technique and a fixed point theorem, he shows existence results for the solutions of the generalized strongly nonlinear quasivariational inequalities. Also, the author proposes iterative algorithms for the approximate solution of the problems, and proves that the approximate solutions given by these algorithms strongly converge to the exact solutions of the given problems under certain assumptions. The results of the paper generalize some known results in the theory of generalized quasivariational inequalities and complementarity problems.
