The authors call a set \(A\subseteq{\mathbb R}^n\) \(\sigma\)-convex if \(\sum_{i=1}^\infty\lambda_i x_i\in A\) whenever \(x_i\in A\), \(\lambda_i\geq 0\), \(\sum_{i=1}^\infty\lambda_i=1\). It is proved that bounded convex subsets of \({\mathbb R}^n\) are \(\sigma\)-convex. The proof uses the separation theorem and induction on the dimension.
