The authors consider the integral operator \(\int^{t}_{0}\int_{\partial D}K(q,s;x-q,t-s)f(q,s)dq ds,\) where D is a bounded \(C^ 1\)-domain of \({\mathbb{R}}^ n\) and \(f\in L^ p(\partial D\times (0,T))\); the kernel K is considered in suitable classes of parabolic type. Using techniques of \textit{E. B. Fabes} and \textit{N. M. Rivière} [Proc. Symp. Pure Math., 35, 179-196 (1979; Zbl 0436.35039)] and arguments of approximation by Hermite functions, the authors prove an interesting theorem on the existence of the nontangential trace.
