The paper shows the existence of a finite range decomposition for a family of translation invariant gradient Gaussian fields on \(\mathbb{Z}^{d}\) which depends upon the quadratic form which defines the Gaussian field. One extends the finite range decomposition for the discrete Laplace to the case when no maximum principle is available, and finite range decomposition can be selected to comply with some analytical conditions.
