The author deals with asymptotic and tempered hyperfunctions. At first, he shows that the spaces of asymptotic and tempered hyperfunctions are topologically equivalent to the space of infra exponential and smooth functions and Gel'fand-Shilov spaces, respectively. Secondly, he proves a structure theorem for asymptotic and tempered hyperfunctions, that is, every asymptotic (tempered) hyperfunction can be written by applying a local (pseudo) differential operator to a continuous function of asymptotic decay (tempered growth). Finally, he generalizes the moment asymptotic expansions of distributions to the case of asymptotic hyperfunctions. He treats the one-dimensional case first and he carries the result to higher dimensions not by using Cartesian products, but by the geometrical Radon transform of hyperfunctions which is a more symmetric approach.
