    The author considers the equation \[ (E)\quad L_ nx(t)+q(t)f(x(g_ 1(t)))h(x'(g_ 2(t)))=0, \] where n is even, \(L_ 0x=1\), \(L_ kx=a_ kL_{k-1}x\) for \(k=1,2,...,n\) with \(a_ n\equiv 1\). In this paper there are given sufficient conditions under which i) all nontrivial solutions of (E) are oscillatory; ii) any nontrivial solution x of (E) is either oscillatory or \(L_ kx(t)\to 0\) as \(t\to \infty\), \(k=1,...,n-1\).
