Let $(\psi_n)$ be a Vilenkin system with generating sequence $(p_n)$, $S_n(f)$ be the partial sum with respect to the Vilenkin system. In the article the behaviour of the partial sums $S_n(f)$ in Hardy spaces $H_p$ $(0<p<1)$ are discussed. For example the inequality \[ \|S_n(f)\|_{H_p}\le c_p\frac{M_{|n|}^{\frac{1}{p}-1}}{M_{\langle n\rangle}^{\frac{1}{p}-1}}\|f\|_{H_p} \] is obtained, where $M_n=p_0p_1\dots p_{n-1}$, $|n|=\max\{j: n_j\ne 0\}$, $\langle n\rangle=\min\{j: n_j\ne 0\}$, $n=\sum\limits_{j=1}^\infty n_jM_j$.
