    Producing a counterexample, the author shows that the main result of a paper of \textit{M. Mather} and \textit{M. Walker} on commuting homotopy limits and colimits [Math. Z. 175, 77-80 (1980; Zbl 0447.55004)] does not hold unless one requires that all spaces be well-pointed.
