This work classifies essential singularities of conformal immersions between two Riemannian manifolds of the same dimension \(n \geq 3\) in case the \((n-1)\)-dimensional Hausdorff measure of the singular set is zero. Locally such singularities are shown to occur only in conformally flat spaces and are connected with the theory of Kleinian groups. The proofs rely upon the canonical Cartan connection associated to a conformal structure.
