The referred paper contributes to the multiattribute decision-making theory with fuzzy attributes. Namely, the method of determination of weights of attributes under incomplete preference information is analyzed. It is shown that a previously considered method based on minimum average weighted deviation is flawed, and its revision is recommended. Two approaches to the revision are suggested and discussed. They are based on a Lagrange multiplier method and the Hessian matrix. Four specific models of the revision are tested by means of a numerical example. The desision matrix is normalized by various membership functions to achieve a credible ranking order.
