    The author examines the steady-state flow of a viscous fluid in an infinite pipe which is described by the following system of equations: \(v_ t - \nu \Delta v + (v \cdot \nabla) v + \nabla p = f\), \(\text{div }v = 0\) in \(\mathbb{R} \times \Omega\), \(v = 0\) on \(\mathbb{R} \times \partial\Omega\), where \(\Omega = \omega \times \mathbb{R}\), and \(\omega\) is a bounded domain in \(\mathbb{R}^ 2\). For a solution of the form \(v = u + V\), where \(V\) is a Poiseuille flow, the author studies the decay properties of the perturbation \(u\) as \(| x| \to \infty\). These are expressed with the help of the fact that \(u\) belongs to suitable weighted function spaces provided the same is true for \(f\).
