The tubular packed-bed catalytic reactor (TPBCR) model aims to determine the coupled influence of various transport and kinetics parameters and to show how they influence the operating performance of the reactor. A dimensionless TPBCR model describes the distributions of the temperature and key reactant concentration by the PDEs with boundary conditions. The Adomian decomposition method provides approximate analytic solutions which can satisfy the given conditions to various degrees.
