Cluster categories were first defined by \textit{A. B. Buan, R. Marsh, M. Reineke, I. Reiten, G. Todorov}, [in Adv. Math. 204, No. 2, 572-618 (2006; Zbl 1127.16011)], and \textit{P. Caldero, F. Chapoton, R. Schiffler}, [Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 358, No. 3, 1347-1364 (2006; Zbl 1137.16020)] (for type \(A\)), in order to build a combinatorial model for the cluster algebras of Fomin and Zelevinsky. Cluster categories are triangulated by a result of \textit{B. Keller} [Doc. Math., J. DMV 10, 551-581 (2005; Zbl 1086.18006)]. The authors compute Grothendieck groups for various cluster categories, with respect to various triangulated structures, and compare them. This includes cluster categories associated to algebras of finite global dimension (the definition in this case is the same as in the case of a hereditary algebra) and cluster categories associated to canonical algebras. Finally, cluster tubes are considered. See also \textit{Y. Palu} [Grothendieck group and generalized mutation rule for 2-Calabi-Yau triangulated categories (arXiv:0803.3907 [math.RT]) (2008, Preprint)].
