The authors consider the following quasilinear ordinary differential equation \[ (1)\quad (p(t)\phi (y'))'+f(t,y)=0 \] under the hypotheses: (a) p: \([0,\infty)\to (0,\infty)\) is continuous, (b) \(\phi: {\mathbb{R}}\to {\mathbb{R}}\) is continuous, strictly increasing and such that sgn \(\phi\) (u)\(=sgn u\) and \(\phi ({\mathbb{R}})={\mathbb{R}}\), (c) f: \([0,\infty)\times {\mathbb{R}}\to {\mathbb{R}}\) is continuous, non-decreasing with respect to the second variable and sgn f(t,v)\(=sgn v\) for each fixed \(t\geq 0\). The main objective is to investigate the oscillatory and nonoscillatory behavior of the solutions of (1). Criteria for all solutions of (1) to be oscillatory are given.
