Elbow ring shells (also known as toroidal shells) are considered in the limiting case as \(r_0/R_0 \to 0\). This means, the shell is a tube with the radius \(r_0\), which is weakly curved, and the radius of the outer curvature is \(R_0\). Starting from three-dimensional equations of elasticity in curvilinear coordinates, a sequence of asymptotic equations is derived. Some information about the behaviour of the shells can be deduced from this equations.
