The paper describes two (1+1)-dimensional models which can be obtained by different dimensional reductions from (2+1) dimensions: the (anti) de Sitter, and the extended Poincaré model. In the developed framework are determined the associated equations of motion and the corresponding solutions, which are presented both in gauge theoretical and group theoretical formulations.
